Facilities

There are four international courts that can be booked for 45 minute periods.

RESERVATIONS:
Bookings may be made no more than 7 days in advance by phone (203) 259-0882 or at the front desk. A court may be booked for no more than 1 session at a time. If courts are not reserved at the end of your 45 minute session, you may continue on any open court. If you have reserved a court or scheduled a lesson, you must allow at least 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. Failure to provide notice will incur a charge for either court time or a full lesson.

SQUASH LADDERS:
This league allows you to have regular games against players of your own ability. Your opponents are arranged for you. All you have to do is make the court booking, play the game and record the score. You will be matched against players of your own ability. There is a lunch ladder for those who can only play during the day. Please contact the squash pros to join the ladders.

LEARNING AND COACHING:
Why not enroll for a series of squash lessons or clinics? Lessons are available for all levels of play from beginners to aspiring pros and at all age levels. Contact one of our pros for information on group or non-member coaching.

SAFETY:
Protective glasses are available for purchase. The likelihood of injuries will be reduced if players wear appropriate footwear during their game. This reduces the amount of dust/dirt walked onto the courts, keeping the playing surfaces free from the debris that creates dangerous playing conditions.

BLACK-SOLED SHOES & EYE PROTECTION:
Black-soled shoes and other improper footwear will mark the court floors and are not permitted in the courts. Shirts must be worn at all times to prevent sweat staining the floor. All members and guests must wear protective eyewear.

Our Pros

Adam Walker
Adam Walker, an accomplished coach and a 2004, 2005 and 2006 U.S. Nationals 5.5 Finalist, has been leading the SRC squash program at the club since February 2005. He took up squash at the age of seven, playing in junior tournaments every weekend during the season up to the age of seventeen.

Adam's enthusiasm for coaching extends from working with juniors of various ages and abilities, to running adult training programs and ladders for men and women. He is eager to increase the amount of active women players at SRC, from beginner to advanced, and hopes to vary tournaments from just pro-level to include skill-level, age-group, and junior events.

Currently sponsored by Head Sports Equipment as an advisory staff member and play test member, Adam looks forward to maintaining the high standard of play at SRC.
