Recipe of the Month from Carrie Saxonmeyer, AFAA Certified Personal Trainer:
PAPAYA FRUIT SALAD
This refreshing recipe is colorful and nutritious. It makes an inviting addition to any summer menu.
Ingredients
• Juice of 1 fresh lemon (reserve 2 TBS of juice to use with honey)
•1 avocado
•1 papaya
•6 fresh figs
•1 guava
•2 nectarines or peaches
•1 TBS organic honey
•1 TBS ground cinnamon
•pinch grated nutmeg
Preparation
1. First place the fresh lemon juice in a large decorative glass bowl. Prepare the avocado first so that it can preserve in the lemon juice at the bottom of the bowl. Peel and chop the fruit into bite-sized pieces and add to the bowl.
2. In another small bowl soften the honey with 2 TBS of the reserved lemon juice. This makes it easier to pour into the salad.
3. Pour the lemon-honey mixture over the salad and add spices.
4. Toss gently and serve!

A Letter from Adam Regarding Summer Camp Weeks
Dear Members:
Summer break is fast approaching and as in previous years I will be running junior squash camps throughout the summer.
The camps will run during the weeks of Monday, June 15, Monday, July 13 and Monday, August 10 from 9am to 12pm. There will be four children per court, allowing us to provide plenty of individual attention.
The cost each week per child is $385.00. The weeks between the set dates will have camps if there is enough interest. I will need a minimum of four children to run a camp.
Please sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment for the dates you would like.
I look forward to a great summer.
Thanks,
Adam Walker

Above is a picture of the 5.5 Consolation Finalists: Winner Kyle Gens and Runner-Up Dave Reiss.
Great Squash, Great Socializing
Besides playing, watching and refereeing non-stop all weekend, participants and their guests enjoyed a Saturday night party (thanks Josh Bergmark and Ash Creek) and got great long-sleeved T-shirts designed by Paul Caldwell and sponsored by Gavin McMahon’s company fassforward. Above is the 55+ Final showing Winner Bob Folman (right) and Runner-Up Ned Monaghan (left).

Next Up: The Club Championship in late April/early May - date to be announced.

Our Squash Reservation Policy: A Reminder
Our squash membership has grown this past year and the squash courts are very busy. We are receiving complaints from members regarding “No Shows”: Members are reserving courts and not showing up to play. This is very unfair and frustrating to others with a busy schedule who try to arrange a game at a specific time, and are told that "all" the courts are booked (but aren't really being used). In the past the club established a “No Show Fee” of $25 to discourage this practice and we are going to begin enforcing the policy again. Please help us keep the court reservation system fair for all members and call to cancel your reservation if you are unable to play. Thank you for your support. —SRC Management
