If you are looking for more than just a gym, you have come to the right place. The Southport Racquet Club is known for its club atmosphere and its courteous and attentive staff. Here you can work out in a bright, clean, social atmosphere filled with fitness professionals who share your commitment to health and fitness. We are a fitness community of staff and members, athletes and parents, families and singles all striving to keep health and fitness in focus.

The Southport Racquet Club has been in business for over 30 years. Originally, the club was built as a purely squash and racquetball facility. Over the years, the SRC has evolved into a full service athletic club with 85% of our 20,000 square foot building now serving our members' fitness needs. About 15 years ago, the club management made a commitment to the fitness business when it eliminated racquetball from the menu and expanded its offerings to include a full scale strength training, fitness and cardiovascular program and a state-of-the-art studio for group fitness classes.

The SRC's group fitness program is known for having highly qualified and inspiring class instructors. The schedule offers both day and evening classes totaling over 70 classes each week. Classes range from stress-reducing yoga to the latest BOSU®, Pilates and BodypumpTM classes. We also offer the largest and most exciting Spinning® program in the state of Connecticut. With over 35 bikes, the group fitness program is coordinated by Kimberly Fox who has been with the SRC for over 10 years. She continues to nurture and update Fairfield County's hottest and most professional group fitness program. Class instructors are handpicked for their experience and enthusiasm and their ability to motivate people. Kimberly is always interested in expanding the staff of highly qualified fitness instructors. If you are interested in applying for a fitness instructor position, you can email Kimberly directly by cliking on Kimberly Fox here. Positions for other employment opportunities, such as childcare or front desk staff, are also available. You can access our online employment application here.

The Southport Racquet Club squash program has been a leader in Connecticut squash for over twenty-five years. Adam Walker, an accomplished coach and a 2004, 2005 and 2006 U.S. Nationals 5.5 Finalist, leads the program. He offers private lessons and clinics for men, women, and junior players. The club hosts competitive ladders, round robins, tournaments, and social events for SRC squash players. There are four international, glass-backed squash courts and a pro shop that offers racquets, stringing, footwear, eyewear, and other squash gear. If you are new to the game or just in need of new equipment, Adam can assist you in choosing the proper racquet for your game. The SRC is also the home court for the Greens Farms Academy girls squash team.
